| 1399927 | 2015-05-03 05:24:00 | In the past with our second and cheap car we bought seat covers twice. On both occasions they did not last well at all. Probably due to the fact that we only paid $30/35 at Repco. Now we have a bit better car for our second car. Again we need seat covers because the previous owner had dogs and they have deteriorated the seats. If we spend, say $100 for a pair of covers for our front seats, will they last a reasonable length of time, say 5-10 years ?? Have you experience of these ? (Probably go to Repco again there is a brand called "Gear Up"). Advice greatly appreciated ! |

| 1399929 | 2015-05-03 09:38:00 | Thanks Lawrence - am checking that out and see that Toyota say "Every Yaris sedan comes equipped with 6 SRS Airbags including: driver and passenger front airbags, front side airbags and full length curtain shield airbags. The Yaris Hatch takes it one step further with a knee airbag for the driver taking the total to 7 SRS airbags". So, front side bags put it into the category you mention, it seems. Will check out further possibilities. Many thanks ! | Misty (368) | ||

It would depend how often you drive, how far you go - meaning how much use they get. I doubt it.....it's just material, never mind how thick or strong the material. If the seats are that bad, get some new ones from the wreckers. |

I am a bit of a wriggler ;-) Got to say that the guy at Repco say that they have stopped stocking the $30 ones, as they realised they were no good. Ours only lasted about 18 mths. Think we will buy the $100 ones, to be sure, to be sure ! |

I just bought a Ford Mondeo 2008 model. Ford unlike Toyota does not carry Ford seat covers for side airbags. Was wondering if they were available. Regarding longevity. In 2000 when i bought a Mazda 626 I bought front sweat covers from Repco I sold the car about 6 weeks ago and removed the covers. The drivers one with only one with wear.. |

Always holes and rips in the drivers seat..... In his ute, he wore out the springs too and had to pack stuff under the seat to avoid sitting on the floor - he couldn't find a seat for that vehicle.... |

Who's Idea was it to put airbags in the seat :) So now my drivers seat is a bit worn and stained which is what I had the seat covers to prevent *shrug* |
