| 1399581 | 2015-04-28 14:31:00 | windows should be a single product that does everything. (no server/desktop/phone versions) windows should cost $10 per cpu, only limited by what your imagination can craft. |

| 1399582 | 2015-04-28 19:57:00 | I sure don't want an O/S with crap in it I have no interest in or use for. Like server stuff. As for the cost, the owner is the one to decide.....no doubt the buyers would like everything to cost nothing. I'd like a new ute to cost $1000, fat chance I'd say. |

| 1399586 | 2015-04-29 05:37:00 | Have you thought about that maybe a server and a phone need slightly different things? Honestly, Apple is leading the way in this. Each of their OS's does different things, and they're working to improve how well they function together without trying to make them run the same programs or use the same UI. |

Each of their OS's does different things, and they're working to improve how well they function together without trying to make them run the same programs or use the same UI. one could also say Microsoft is leading the way in this. Why isn't convergence the smart way? Apple wants you to buy an iPhone, and an iPad and an OSX machine. Apple doesn't want you to share those devices in the home or school, they want everyone to have one, so no proper operating system with multiple user accounts Windows 10 gives you the flexibility to chose a device form factor and know the apps work across everything and scale based on how I am using my PC (touch/mouse/keyboard/pen) Windows 10 for example gives you the option to plug your phone into mouse/keyboard/external screen to drive a "PC experience" from your phone. |
