| 1399815 | 2015-05-09 00:32:00 | Do you have Calibre on your PC PJ? If so, you can probably convert all of the LIT books to your preferred output format as a batch, rather than one by one. If you look at Calibre, in the top menu bar there is a Convert books button. Select all of the books you want to convert, and then set the output you want (ie one that your reader can manage). Personally, I loathe .doc and .pdf for reading ebooks - they aren't as good as a format like .epub. If you do not have Calibre, go to http://calibre-ebook.com/ where it is freeware. |

Hi...I d/l Calbre but am struggling to make it works. Embarrassing & shameful for a once intelligent person. PJ:mad::mad::blush::blush: |

| 1399818 | 2015-05-11 08:25:00 | Oh dear, sorry PJ! I think that what you have to do is first use the menu item "Add books". Press the button, and select all the books you want to add to Calibre. Once you have them in Calibre, you can read them there - I have checked, and Calibre can manage .lit books. Just double click on each title in Calibre, and it opens a reader for you. If you then want to convert the books to another format, use the Convert button on the menu bar. I cannot guarantee that it can convert .lit books to another format because I have never had a .lit book, but it can do most formats, so it is worth a try. Wish I could look over your shoulder and guide you through it, but... |
