1399480 2015-04-28 11:03:00 Heard a story of a guy who let one of those toys loose in his flat.

He also had a small dog who had pooped in the house.

Result - dog poo spread all over the carpet and floors.

Not a good investment.

Haha! I can well imagine. My cat sometimes leaves dead birds and mice in the living room for me to trip over in the morning, I wonder how the robot would distribute those around the house?

1399482 2015-04-28 19:56:00 Does it clean properly?
I thought they moved about randomly - so does it cover the lot, or do certain spots too much and miss others?
How does it get on in the corners or edges?

How well does it suck? I use a Miele Pet vacuum, need to get that fur off the rugs etc...

1399487 2015-04-29 01:28:00 I'm impressed to learn that you don't have kids' toys and books lying about the place, clothes waiting to be ironed etc etc - that would create a hazard for the poor thing BBCmicro (15761)
1399488 2015-04-30 01:45:00 I have quite a lot of carpet and tiles in kitchen and bathroom. It goes in straight lines and then crisis crosses randomly. Sucks much better than my little Samsung vacuum, it's good in corners as it has a rotating brush arm that sweeps the dust into itself and sucks it up. The brushes do a pretty good job and the amount of hair, cat fur and crumbs it got from my lounge was amazing. It even did my shaggy polyester rug quite well.

It came with a gizmo that you can use as a virtual wall if there's a particular area that you want it to clean. It is battery operated and sends out a beam so Roomba cant go past it. Otherwise just shut it in a room.

I put it in my bathroom and let it do its thing for a few minutes, and it cleaned perfectly, even did the skirting boards.

Cons: a little noisy, but a lot less than my regular vac.
Need to empty the bin and clean brushes after each use. Pretty easy and doesn't take long.
Cannot do in narrow spaces, but I just do those with a long handled duster thingy.
Pros: Set it and forget it while doing other chores (or go out for coffee)
Will still keep my old vac too.

Cost was $649.00 model 630, so not the top of the line model, those are $14,00.00

Cannot load video, its too big a file.
