| 1408233 | 2015-09-11 07:31:00 | Hi all I'm just starting to have a play with Raspberry pi.... I connected a wifi dongle and the pi connected to the internet and saw my wireless network. I went to open some of the folders but it wanted a password, all the files are shared with no password so I should have been able to access them. To see if I could access them from my android i installed ES File Explore (Fantastic app!) and once again it can find the network drive but won't open anything as it says "The specified network password is not correct" have never set a password! This drive can however be accessed by my windows PC's. Ideas please. Thanks Dave |

The same as the pic below: 6735 You would select LAN, scan, all devices show up, instead of entering a user name and password you simply tick Anonymous. If you dont have the option then its ether a very old version of ES File Explore or a possible problem with Raspberry pi. On Mine, only shares that need a real user name and password, as Anonymous wont work (and so it shouldn't) is on my Servers that DO have to have specific user details / rights. Even windows wont be allowed access unless the share names /Permissions are correctly entered. |
