| 497438 | 2006-11-08 02:34:00 | Hi people, Maybe one of you can help - I accidentally set my bottom margin on my browser to be a huge margin, and now the whole window (Page Setup/Margins...) disappears down below the bottom of the screen so I can't adjust the bottom margin. Print Preview gives a blank screen and when I print anything all I get is a blank page. I guess (hope) there is a quick way to adjust/fix this but I have tried everything I know, which ain't that much. And I'd rather not go back to IE. Can anyone give me the simple solution. Thanks JE |

| 497439 | 2006-11-08 03:42:00 | did you try going back to where you went to set the bottom margin huge and set it back to a small margin again? | kennie (10559) | ||

Thanks Kennie, Yes I did but I can't get to the margn setting as it must be way down the window - the graphic of the page to print is long and extends down the page and I can't seem change the window size of lift it up or scroll down to the bottom margin setting - I can't change the damn setting - that's the whole problem. I even installed the latest browser version but the margin setting stayed the same. And I can't find a way to reset default settings, either. Thanks Kennie but it's got me beat. |

Note: You will lose all your settings/extensions so it would pay to make a note of them. I would make a backup copy of that directory first before deleting it in case it doesn't fix your problem and you want to revert to your old profile. Once you have deleted the directory, open Firefox. It should create a new profile for you and hopefully your margin settings will be back to default. Then you only have to add your extensions and change the other settings to your liking. |

My settings here are: print.print_extra_margin: 0 print.printer_CUPS/Upstairs.print_margin_bottom: 0.5 print.printer_CUPS/Upstairs.print_margin_left: 0.5 print.printer_CUPS/Upstairs.print_margin_right: 0.5 print.printer_CUPS/Upstairs.print_margin_top: 0.5 Obviously the second bit is for a specific printer, but you should have something similar. You can modify all settings through this interface. |

Don't forget to include backing up your bookmarks before deleting any profiles. This can be easily done via Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > File > Export and saving the bookmarks.html somewhere safe. It can then be imported back later. | Jen (38) | ||
