| 497308 | 2006-11-07 20:33:00 | A friend of mine is helping an eldery relative to convert from dailup to Xtra Broadband. Everything was working with dailup but now, they can get email but no webpages are displayed. Standard screen comes up in Internet Explorer 6 as if not connected to the net; "Can't find webpage ... " Have contacted Xtra's helpdesk and to be fair they have tried to help as much as possible, but no joy. Thought we might be able to do better. Everything was done as per instructions issued with the Broadband Pack. Operating system is Windows Xp. BURNZEE |

You may have to go into releasing your IP config and re-establishing it again. This was a constant trouble when I used AOL........it is on the IE platform with more window dressing and a man behind the curtains to make it work. If it's missing, try this: support.microsoft.com |
