| 497527 | 2006-11-08 19:38:00 | Ok i have asus dvd burner............ have a whole load of photos i have ready to copy / burn onto a dvd........... (first dvd it couldnt see) and now when i want to copy / burn it only comes up with CD burner as the option in the list........i have both on this machine. How can i send to dvd if its not in the option? And when i use nero it only gives me the option to make a slide show. when i just want to save the pics to dvd to be veiwable via telly / dvd player? clear as mud? frustration city here......... please can some one give me some instrctions on how i get them to go to dvd E drive? not cd D drive? beetle Try this, double click my computer, right click dvd drive, left click properties, click on recording tab, put tick in enable recording on this drive, Then make the my computer window smaller but leave it open. Then open the folder with the stuff you want to burn, then drag the things you want to burn to the dvd drive,"in the my computer window you left open" you will see a little thing by the clock saying you have file to burn. click on it another window will open then on the left you will see "write these files to cd, click it the files will be burnt to dvd drive. Hope i didnt confuse ya :) |

How can i send to dvd if its not in the option? beetle Run Nero Express on the right, in a dropdown menu it lets u select what burner to burn to. However, if the version of Nero u have came with the CD burner, it'll only work with the cd burner, not the DVD burner. Which is why the DVD burner doesnt appear. This is based on the serial #, which is most probably an OEM one, which is / will be tied to the cd burner, and nothing else. |

| 497531 | 2006-11-08 21:28:00 | I burn dvd's as data dvd's and they play on my old standalone panasonic dvd player. Give it a try. If it doesnt work on your dvd player then you have a backup dvd of your photos:thumbs: |

| 497532 | 2006-11-09 04:16:00 | Ok done some digging i have nero express 6? and nero start smart? not used them at all so cant help myself there really, I tried G-boys idea and cannot get the photos to go to dvd drive so? am stuck . it comes up encounters a problem retry . . . retry retry . . . . . . etc . so gave up . and have managed to burn data disc - on nero . . . . . . . . . of my photos and it works on my dvd player . so i have done what i needed finally . . didnt no burning as data was an option tho, so have learnt something today . frustrating but a good learning moment . Thank you every one . . . . . . . . . . . beetle |
