2006-11-16 03:45:00 | Hi Folks Does anyone in Christchurch or elsewere for that matter have any experience with the service offered below? I am on dialup at present. I am not a volume user but for an extra $1 a month it seems a reasonable offer. Would appreciate your comments and regarding the delivery of the service Regards grandad W "Triple Service HighSpeed 1G Digital TV + PhoneLine + HighSpeed Internet 2Mbps and 1GB/mth $ 94.90* 2ndGB if needed $2.95"

2006-11-16 04:29:00 | Hi Pop... is this the service... Triple Service HighSpeed 1G Digital TV + PhoneLine + HighSpeed Internet 2Mbps and 1GB/mth $ 94.90* 2ndGB if needed $2.95 ? If so, are they saying you get 2mb speed down and 1Gb data @ $94 p/mth? 2nd Gb @ $2.95?... That in my view, it doesnt sound right. Is it wireless? Cause then i would understand the price....., but if not, you are better off with just about any other ISP provider, how much is your dial-up?

2006-11-17 04:38:00 | Hi I've been using this service since March and am very pleased with it. I have none of the problems that I see reported here from adsl users on telecom lines. Regards PC

2006-11-17 11:45:00 | "2ndGB if needed $2.95" Grandad W[/QUOTE] Sorry. That's incorrect. It's $2.95 per 200MB lots if you exceed you 1gig allocation. Go over that by 201 MB's & you'll be charged an exrta $5.80 ... Also With digital TV. They ping you with an extra monthly charge for that service, plus one off setup charges for both of em ... Been there, done that ... Awaiting the dis-connect. Back to dial-up & analogue for me!

2006-11-21 01:09:00 | I've been on cable for a couple of years now, and I think its the greatest. Only over the last few weeks have I had trouble, and a tech has been out twice to try and solve it (free of course) leaving his cell phone number if we have more problems. Otherwise the problems that affect telecom are never an issue for us. It would be a big step down to go to telecom. I have the 5gig package with the phone. I tried living on 1 gig but couldn't do it. :)

2006-11-21 06:41:00 | We've had cable modem + phone + Saturn TV for a year now. 4Mbps down and 2 Mbps up mostly, though it drops at times. 10 GB per month which we've never got near to. All this costs us $130/month of which the Internet is $39, TV (with sport) is $81 and phone + fax lines are $10. Toll calls are on top, but they're really cheap. We changed mainly because I needed a static IP address and Telecon wouldn't give me one without paying a fortune. Wouldn't change back to Telecon (though I'm a shareholder). The only problem is mini dropouts that seem to happen all the time (several per day lasting a few secs each).
