2006-11-17 16:16:00 | I Bought Seagate Barracuda 320Gb HDD and installed windows on it and (this was 2 days ago) now i'm desperated with this. I'm getting all different error messages, my computer reboots after 3 mins or gives Blue screen of death with various different errors. 5 mins ago I formatted my HDD and was going to reinstall my winsows xp home edition and suddenly it gave me again blue screen of death with the message in the title (more detailed *** STOP: 0x0000000A (0x49436373, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x807F67BB) just after the post-screen and also when i'm in the windows' installation screen. More detailed comp specs are AsRock 939A8X-M Motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 3200+, NVIDIA GeForce 6600 256Mb, 2 x 512 Kingston DDR400 and that's about it cuz I can't get my comp open, so i can't give u any more detailed information. If you still want to know something I can try to answer anyway. I'd be VERY pleased if some1 had any ideas solving my problem. It could be just some hardware incompantibility error woth my new HDD, can't say for sure... | Wizeon (11484) | |

2006-11-17 19:39:00 | aumha.org 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above. Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. And read this especially seeing as its on the install: support.microsoft.com

2006-11-17 21:45:00 | has the computer been running fine previously with a different hard drive?? | Agent_24 (57) | |
2006-11-17 22:15:00 | I have personally had this problem that turned out to be a bad memory stick. Also had it with software problems as well. Maybe worth a quick check with a memory testing program such as memtest86.

2006-11-18 01:02:00 | did the machine work before the hard drive was added? because if the problems occurred immediately after hard drive installation i'd say either the harddrive is buggered/only half plugged in or you dislodged some ram accidentally or something. i would suggest trying another hard disk, or checking that the sata cable is properly plugged in (i've had one half fall out on me - i thought the disk had died) | motorbyclist (188) | |
2006-11-18 19:41:00 | has the computer been running fine previously with a different hard drive?? Sorry for not responding actively to this post. Previously I had Maxtor HDD and it worked well, until 2 weeks ago it just stopped responding at all, windows said just disk read error all the time. I doubt it had something to do with my subwoofer because i accidentally left it quite close to my case (about 20cm). Anyway, i bought this new hard drive and I succesfully installed windows on it but in 2 hours first error-message appeared and it shut down. I turned my computer on and it was all normal until different error-message appeared and finally i was having error messages in every 3 minutes. I searched for help all over internet but only solution i thought was to just re-install it, so I placed my product recovery disc inside and formatted my disk and began to re-install it. It was all good until windows finished copying files and gave me that blue screen again. Now I can't run any memtest programs because i have no OS installed (i tried to install kubuntu too but the result was the same error). I took everything away from my case and put them back in to be sure everything is correctly installed and currently i'm formatting my hard drive (this takes about 1.5 hours...) and i'll see if it was because of some hrdware installation error. I'll write more when I have something new to report.

2006-11-18 21:47:00 | Now my system has been up for 1 . 5 hours and everything is fine, atleast for now . Theres 1 funny thing i noticecd by mistake . When i turn my computer on with its other sidepanel open and when it has loaded windows, when I try to close my case, it suddenly gives me blue screen with errormessage MACHINE_EXCEPTION_ERROR :waughh: . There's no harm in it because if i just don't close it, or if I close it before I turn it on nothing happens . So, for now I'm very grateful that you took part in this problem, and I'm ashame that it was so simple problem as some hardware installation error :/ (atleast I currently think it was) . And i'm sorry if my english isn't so perfect cuz I come from Finland and i'm only 16 . . .

2006-11-18 22:04:00 | Maybe a check for fans at the correct speed, heat sink on the processor clean, and also you could check the CPU temperature on the BIOS? Your English is rather good, we can easily tell what you mean.

2006-11-18 22:24:00 | Wizeon, your english is good. It is even better than a lot of people who know only English. Another suggestion, check all plugs and boards are firmly plugged in. Just give each a push to be sure. It may be the panel is pushing on a wire which has a connector not plugged in properly. Good luck.
