500179 2006-11-18 03:17:00 Well if its that urgent phone the person.Well duh... if I knew his phone number I wouldn't need to email. Tony (4941)
500180 2006-11-18 03:19:00 So did he die in the interim? :eek:10 out of 10 for sensitivity. No "he" (actually my wife,) did not die in the interim - but thank you for your interest.:angry Tony (4941)
500181 2006-11-18 03:34:00 Did you reply using your Ihug account? If it was a webmail account maybe they have .com addresses blocked. Pauline (641)
500182 2006-11-18 03:38:00 I had a similar problem last week with Optusnet in Aus blocking their own emails
cause they used dynamic IPs and they would not accept any mail with a dynamic IP even tho I was replying to thair email. There is no way round it except to phone them and assure them you are genuine and so get removed from the "barred" list.I did however get a couple of mails thru but not sure how.
On one I typed the recipients em address in instead of cutting and pasting and this may have helped. But if yr router is set up to use a dynamic address then you probably will have no sucess.

500183 2006-11-18 03:49:00 Well duh... if I knew his phone number I wouldn't need to email.

Well duh yourself.

"The email address is a large international corporation, so one would not have normally expected errors."

So being a large international corporation you could look the phone number up on their webiste. Duh.

500184 2006-11-18 04:07:00 If an email is blocked the first time, it may be worth sending it again. Some mail servers don't correctly respond to the temporary failure message sent from a server using a grey-list (used as an anti-spam measure) and will treat this as a permanent failure instead. If this is the case, a second email will get through. TGoddard (7263)
500185 2006-11-18 04:51:00 There will be some problems with emails sent through Ihug's servers. Read this (computerworld.co.nz) article on computerworld.co.nz (strangely enough, it seems that Juha Saarinen has mastered time-travel). Antmannz (6583)
