Are northbridge chipsets and their heatsink mounting holes usually of similar dimensions?
My motherboard only has a passive heatsink and its getting rediculously hot and I have been looking at a northbridge heatsink+fan replacement. |

What you should find is that quite a few of the Northbridge coolers have adjustable pins so if the chipset pin holes are larger, you can adjust them. |

Lots of after-market chipset coolers have compatibility lists on the manufacturers website. |

before doing anything check your case cooling. absolutly pointless trying to cool with hot air. |
