500727 2006-11-20 21:11:00 A relative had some home movies recorded to DVD by a professional in the UK. When visiting another relative in the USA it was not possible to view the DVD on either computer or US standard DVD player. The DVD plays ok on my computer or my DVD player.
I have copied the files to my computer and now want to resave them to a DVD which will play on a US DVD player, so that we can send a DVD to our relatives in the US.
Any suggestions most gratefully received. I have Nero 7 Premium and Power DVD.

Get DVDFab Decrypter (www.dvdidle.com) to rip your dvd to the hard drive.

Then get DVD shrink (www.afterdawn.com) to shrink, burn and make it region free.

500729 2006-11-20 22:05:00 This is more likely to be a PAL v's NTSC thing than zoning. Home movies wouldn't normally be zoned. US DVD players and TVs don't play PAL discs in the same way that most PAL players and TV's can cope with NTSC. PaulD (232)
