500665 2006-11-21 10:52:00 Linux, but use various flavours of Windows for testing, mostly in VMWare Server.

Main Workstation: Debian Etch / 2.6.17-2-k7
Main Server: Debian Etch / 2.6.17-2-686
Web/Mail Server: Fedora Core 5 / 2.6.18-1.2224.fc5
Backup Server: Debian Etch / 2.6.17-2-686

Was running Debian Sid on the workstation for a while, but still too many bugs for my liking - so I'll be sticking with Etch for now.

The percentages on the right don't seem to add up.Because you can vote for more than one option. The percentages mean "x percent of voters chose this option."

500666 2006-11-21 18:15:00 Must confess - I only voted for that during a moment of silliness. :p

Who said polls were accurate. ;)

Ahhh, your heavenly status is restored !

Actually, I thought "Jen must be pulling our legs."

Good one, Mike. Its around 160% (cannot be bothered reaching for the calculator so this is an estimate).

That is because the percentages are still what percentage of voters voted for each option, even though you can vote for more than one option.

500671 2006-11-27 01:24:00 Hello
At the moment XP is my preffered choice. Though I am looking to get Linux and see how I get on with it. Not sure which "make" would suit me?
Mac could be interesting to as it has the possibilities with BootCamp and Parallels.
Can Linux be installed as main OS then Parallels with XP so working progs (that use xp) could be installed?

Yes but you need to install XP first as MS doesn't work well with others. Linux will install a boot loader so you can choose Linux or XP with Linux being default if you so choose.

The server time is six minutes fast. Have just set mine to an atomic clock.

It's not hard to do, but it is a pain. Erayd (23)
