2006-11-21 02:02:00 | Sorry, Linux here for now. Until all major hardware drivers upgraded in Vista i.e. RAID controller etc. Hey people who wanted use Linux to play games, I think you buy a Linux program to run most games i.e. WarCraft III, etc. I'm using Linux Xandros Home Edition Premium V4.0, Linux Ubuntu, and WinXP. :(I still have problem with my HDD, if there is no problem I'll probably start to use Linux to play PC games. Linux is pretty good anyway. But so many different type of Linux. Some are paid and some are free.

2006-11-21 02:54:00 | Ah, I wanted to even out the normal distribution bell curve? :p Actually only use Linux at home. So that means Win95 at work? A few others show that they use Win95. Egads! :stare: WHY???

2006-11-21 05:04:00 | he said windows NT yet 2000, Me, XP and vista are all bult on NT and wat about DOS as well there are many diffrent versons of MAC and LINEX so why just say MAC and LINUX yet you put down all the main windowsThey are built on (yes) but are not Win NT. Besides iirc there were about 4+ versions of NT alone. Just like Linux was based off UNIX and so on (so you ask why wasnt Unix in there in all its flavours). You can only choose 10 selections when running a poll in this forum, I think the original thread starter was right in splitting the Win OS's the way he did (though Vista should have been there) as there are (by far) way more Windows users in this forum than Linux and Mac users combined. Incidentally, I am a Linux user only, none of this dual boot crap for me :p :D

2006-11-21 06:58:00 | I'm surprised at how many people are running such old versions of Windows. I thought Windows 95 and 98 would have pretty much disappeared. Obviously not... There may well be a difference between what OS's people have and what they actually use every day as their main OS. I mean, I have MSDOS 3.3 and Windows 1.0 on HDD I can fire up, also MSDOS 6.22 and Windows For WorkGroups, Windows 95B, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, all on HDDs ready to plug into caddies and run. However I use XP as a daily OS, but then there is nothing wrong with Win98SE for example, it obviously satifies many requirements. I use 98SE for quite a few things. I also used to run OS/2, it was much better than Win95A, but that faded away when I moved onto Win95B and then Win98.

2006-11-21 07:05:00 | You left out Atari OS, Amiga OS, OS2 and many more. And let not forget Billy's foundation OS.... DOS. | beama (111) | |

A minor correction here - WInME is not built on NT - it is part of the WIn9x (95/98) stream with DOS intertwined in there somewhere. |
