2006-11-26 09:39:00 | My USB connected external Audigy 2 NX soundcard mutes as soon as I start playing audio files with MusicMatch Jukebox (my favourite music player!). Operates fine with other software appns such as WMP10/11, Power DVD etc for a longer period of time (1 hour +) before it does the same thing!. I can't bring it out of it's mute state short of rebooting my PC -- have googled the problem as well as requesting help from both Creative & Musicmatch's support departments as well as their FAQs/Knowledge Bases all to no avail. Any Suggestions/Solutions?! My System Details: Running Windows XP Pro with SP2 P4 3.0GHz 1.5GB RAM

2006-11-27 06:32:00 | No idea but maybe you have USB set to Turn off in Power Mnagement - check Properties of your USB in Device Manager to see.... | pctek (84) | |
2006-11-27 08:26:00 | Thanks for the tip PCtek -- I have about 15 USB ports thanks to a hub, my motherboard and a 4-port USB PCI card so how can I establish which USB controller is the one that my Soundcard is connected to? Not many of the USB connections listed in Device Manager even have a power tab under properties let alone an option to play with the power management settings. Thanks

2006-11-27 08:57:00 | It's plugged into a USB port running off the PCI card -- is that likely to cause a problem? You see its only just during some appns that it happens -- for example I've had it on all day (without using it much) and it's only muted off once. Very wierd!

2006-12-02 20:08:00 | I have exactly the same problem. It's kind of weird, sometimes it staying 'alive' for the whole damn day. Other times after about one hour it mutes itself. Stopping all active programs that are passing sound, shutting the device down for a couple of seconds an restarting the device fixes the problem for a while. logging of or going to standby mode also helps, but unfortunately just for a while. I've been updating reinstalling drivers but nothing helps.
