| 502135 | 2006-11-27 03:05:00 | I just updated from Nero Ultra Edition 7.2.3.2b to version 7.5.9.0, all I did was click on check for updates, the program downloaded the updates, installed the updates and finally I rebooted the machine, everything went fine. When I clicked on the update button it asked if I wanted to download from the internet or execute a file already downloaded. Now I know I didn't download any files so I went straight to the download option. Worked a treat and I haven't had any hassles. Cheers chiefnz |

| 502137 | 2006-11-27 08:11:00 | The animated menus in Nerovision 4 are pretty cool, a lot better than the version of Nerovision, that comes with version 6. After like 3-4 tries I finally got it updated to 7.5.9.0 lol. It either stopped,said there was a connection / download prob, or just didnt work. It's a lot easier (and doesnt take as long) updating from within Startsmart (36mb) than downloading a whole new version all over again. I haveta get some more blanks, before I try out Nero. |

Hmm interesting, to ve honest I can't remember when last I burnt a coaster! This is going back to Nero 6 even. I've been using Nero 7 fora while now and I haven't had any problems (no even a buffer underrun etc) Mind you that doesn't meanto say it doesn't have any bugs, I just haven't experienced any at this stage. After 2 attempts to get the update procedure to work from Nero Smartstart (Dumbstart?), I went to their website and downloaded the setup file manually. The file I got is Nero_7.5.9.0_eng_no_atb.exe. Double click in Windows Explorer and the installation went ahead. No need to uninstall the previous version. |

You've never had to uninstall previous versions of Nero, if u updated. BUT, u had to uninstall Version 6, before u installed version 7.xxx |
