502707 2006-11-28 04:19:00 I have spent two hours this afternoon attempting to get on to the Paradise help desk. They have a broadcast message (which cuts out halfway through) noting they have an smtp issue and advise you to switch off secure authentication (which was never on anyway). I should add I use Thunderbird which they said they don't support!!! Never had any problems till this afternoon and they can't seem to help. Have even left messages with customer support and emailed them through OE but to no avail. Any help appreciated. silversurfernz (11538)
502708 2006-11-28 04:29:00 Ihug had (has) this same problem. They posted instructions for all the major email clients on how to correct this which you can follow - see here (www.ihug.co.nz) for specific Thunderbird instructions.

Welcome to PressF1 as well. :)

502709 2006-11-28 06:20:00 Thanks Jen. I worked it out despite Paradise. Your answer from the Ihug site is what I did. Paradise were hopeless. silversurfernz (11538)

Paradise was rated the best ISP in NZ before Telstra Clear bought it! :groan:
