502125 2006-11-25 22:52:00 If so, what are you meant to point to when u go to update it?

When Nero Productsetup comes up, it shows Nero Productsetup needs the latest file for update and download beside this.

Then under this Download the file from the internet.

And under this, I have already downloaded the latest file.

It looks like it looks for setupx.exe, which is ok, there's only one setupx file on the hdd which is here C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Nero Web

Only thing is u select this it says an error! I've only just installed Nero 7 and it installed fine, so I cant see how this file could be damaged or corrupted. :badpc:

You have to completly remove the previous setup/version of nero. Also use nero clean to remove everything. Restart then instal 7.5.7.0

Best way to do so..

502128 2006-11-25 22:59:00 lol well Nero I know has had some bugs previously.

But, I've tried everything to get this thing to work. If u press on download it says connection error. Somehow, I did get it to work the other night till I reformatted lol. I just cant remember how I did it!

Its most probably another BUG in Productsetup

502130 2006-11-25 23:05:00 On dialup? I dont think so, this version took long enough Speedy Gonzales (78)
502131 2006-11-26 00:08:00 I figured it out, I had to point it to setupx then it installed setupxu or something, thats what installs the updates.

At least its 36mb not 188 or whatever it was! For the original install.

I think it's awesome, great interface and the stuff that you can do with it is amazing. I used Nero Vision to edit a home movie and burn it to DVD yesterday, and the quality was absolutely stunning. Glad, I spent the money on it in the end. Nero 6 was a good release though, very stable.

cheers

502134 2006-11-27 01:19:00 Speedy,is it worth upping from Nero 6?

I havent used all of the programs in Nero 7 . Just Nero and Nerovision a few times . I cut out most of the options when I installed Nero 7 .

To cut down the updates if and when updates come out .

I'm just about to check /test it out now with transferring video from a DV cam . .
