503316 2006-11-30 19:36:00 I picked up a virus testerday. I strongly suspect it arrived in a download of Nero 7. (Trial version)
Nod32 recognises it as "Varient win32/ Adinstaller"
It found five instances of it. It deleted two of them. But I still have three of them in C:System Volume.
Nod says they can be deleted. But the "delete" button is greyed out.
I can not get into system volume to delete manualy.
How do I get rid of them?

503318 2006-11-30 23:12:00 Being in the System Volume means they are in System Restore so turn that off, reboot then re-enable it again in order to purge your restore points.

This thread (www.tek-tips.com) might be useful to you also.

Sounds like Avast sometimes, it likes picking up Tenga which is a worm or something .

I know I dont have it, it only detects it in my shared folder . And no other folder . I wouldnt be surprised if its a false + .

I would check the Nod32 site / FAQ .

Try turning off system restore, boot into safe mode, and clean the crap off the hdd with ccleaner .

503321 2006-12-01 02:02:00 Well the virus has gone. I deleted Nero and turned off System restore.
Did a deep scan and it all came up clean.

Perhaps it thought Nero was a virus.

Thanks.
