| 503296 | 2006-11-30 17:18:00 | what all does windows need to compile the TCP/IP stack? I know socket.dll is one, are there any others? Same goes for linux? thanks in advance. |

| 503298 | 2006-12-01 07:53:00 | TCP/IP networking is handled in the kernel for both. You cannot compile it on Windows since you don't have the source and the Linux one is compiled along with the kernel (unless you remove it, which would be pretty stupid). Each of these presents a different API for establishing TCP connections. If you are writing software, you need to do your research on these. |
