503122 2006-11-30 00:09:00 Hey im buiding a new comp and im not sure if a few of the peripherals are compatible with the mainboard..
The mainboard im looking at is ASRock 775I945GZ
Is this compatible with
ATI Radeon X300SE (PCI Express)
and
Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86Ghz LGA775

are there any specific speaker specs i need for that mainboard or just any 7.1 or 5.1?

And i know the above GPU doesnt support 3 monitors, but how do i know if a graphics card does support 3 monitors?
Thanks
J

503123 2006-11-30 00:13:00 Sorry I'm too lazy right now to investigate your queries. But am interested to know why you plan to use three monitors? Greg (193)

503125 2006-11-30 00:26:00 All i really need to know is if the mobo supports the CPU (mobo only supports 'conroe', whatever that is), and if the pci-express radeon will fit in the "AGI" slot on the mobo

503126 2006-11-30 01:04:00 Wait wait... let me get this right... You want this for gaming? And 3 monitors? And you are considering... ATI Radeon X300SE ?

Seriously, if you want gaming, AND three monitors, you are going to need a serious amount of money toward the graphics card!

And no. PCI Express will not fit in AGP.

And... does that motherboard even support Core 2 Duo?

503127 2006-11-30 01:21:00 yup i know, and the mobo has an AGI slot not an AGP slot...or are they the same? jareemon (5207)
503128 2006-11-30 01:30:00 So, its an Asrock mobo??

According to this (en.wikipedia.org) AGI may not support ALL AGP cards.

And by the looks of it, isnt a good choice for gaming.

503129 2006-11-30 02:21:00 Hmm, what type of gaming PC do you want? lol. A real hardcore gaming PC will cost around $10,000 +.
A moderate gaming PC will cost around $6,000+.
And a low class gaming machine will at least cost $3,000.
:horrified huh? These PC are qualified for gaming. :D Besides they're powerful. And did I tell you you need high PSU? :illogical Don't be angry at these pricing this gamers PC makes the games real smooth.
A junkie computers make games so sucks.
