| 502874 | 2006-11-29 01:36:00 | Hi Folks. I'm running XP Pro 2. I'm interested in all available functions/commands which can be run throught Start > Run. Google provides plenty of sites which list the various authors' top 100 or best 120 etc but is there some means of listing all available on my machine, perhaps a small macro? | Scouse (83) | ||

If the program is in the Path environment variable then an application doesnt need the full path entered, only the application filename. For example, in Start | Run enter cmd then press enter. This displays the command line window. Now type Path and press enter and a list of all the paths is listed. You will see that the folder C:\Windows\System32 is present so thats why you could enter just cmd to run the command line window as opposed to the full path C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe hth |
