502874 2006-11-29 01:36:00 Hi Folks. I'm running XP Pro 2. I'm interested in all available functions/commands which can be run throught Start > Run. Google provides plenty of sites which list the various authors' top 100 or best 120 etc but is there some means of listing all available on my machine, perhaps a small macro? Scouse (83)

502877 2006-11-29 12:54:00 Hi, just in case your unaware Start | Run can execute any program. If the program is in the Path environment variable then an application doesnt need the full path entered, only the application filename.

For example, in Start | Run enter cmd then press enter. This displays the command line window. Now type Path and press enter and a list of all the paths is listed. You will see that the folder C:\Windows\System32 is present so thats why you could enter just cmd to run the command line window as opposed to the full path C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
