503183 2006-11-30 02:56:00 My keyboard works fine. Strange things occur only when I enter text into search boxes or google on the internet or any text box - eg. apple, it will appear as elppa. This is:dogeye: the first time I am encountering this problem. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Taurus (9579)

503187 2006-11-30 03:48:00 Its posessed by a spirit from the dead.

Hold a seance and see if the spirit will communicate with you.

There was a story I read where a guy put together all the letters that he was typing that were wrong and it came out as a message from beyond the grave. This may be for real.

503189 2006-11-30 04:12:00 As already suggested, make sure you scan for viruses or other malware. Are you the only user of the computer? Check to see if someone else has installed a prank program as a joke.

It will also be worthwhile cleaning out your Temporary Internet Files.

503191 2006-11-30 09:59:00 It's one of the IBM notebooks (R52) in the office. I called our IT maintenance contractor. He was surprised too. Anyway, the notebook reverts to normal a few hours later. Will do a virus scan and see how things go. BTW, this is not a joke. My colleague was so frustrated as she was not able to get certain work done. People has come to be so reliant on computers that when it is down, they were just hopeless.:angry Taurus (9579)

Aha.
Please excuse a temporary hijack of your thread here, Taurus.

Welcome back after your exams, James.

Your lengthy self-imposed banishment for study was impressive.
I hope it paid off?
