503803 2006-12-02 16:49:00 Hey, im having problems starting up my packard bell pc..ive searched on this topic and found some stuff but didnt come to much use to me.. sorry.

I'm using windows XP, and i dont have a boot disk or anything and i was wondering what to do. Everytime i start up it says "NTLDR is missing" then "press ctrl + alt + delete to restart" and it doesnt go away. I didn't do anything the night before which i dont usually do on my PC, just playing a game, so i dont know why its doing this..plz help anyone! I dont have a floppy drive just a cd/dvd

Do you have much valuable data on your pc?
Do you backup?
Do you have or know want a linux live cd is? ( good for recovering data in cases like this, if you haven't done a backup)

I dont have any disks :( and i dont know what a linux live cd is no...sorry...

503808 2006-12-02 21:04:00 I've just found a packard bell disk..called software library. dunno if thats any use but it doesnt do anything when i put it in cd drive! joespillers (11559)

a friend is sending me his windows xp disc..so that should help:)
