1409451 2015-10-04 23:40:00 Hi, I'm making this inquiry on behalf of my wife who uses a Apple.

I use PC so am pretty Mac illiterate, so please be gentle with me.

My wife has a new Mac desktop and an slightly older Mac laptop. She wants to be about to work on her desktop via her laptop over wifi... so she wants to be able to sit at her office and connect in to her desktop at home, see the desktop screen, open files, add to reports etc using her laptop. She doesn't want to use Cloud as then there is the risk of duplicate files. She just wants to use her desktop through her laptop as though she is sitting at her desktop and useing it.

I understand you can (kind of) do this using programmes like Team Viewer. The problem with TV is that if the desktop screen saver comes on, you are locked out. She is prepared to pay for a programme that will give her reliable good accessability.

Any suggestions please.

Cheers, N

TeamViewer should automatically disable the screen saver. From Version 6.0.10511 onwards (the Current Version is 10.0.47484)

An active screensaver on the remote computer will be cancelled on an incoming connection

1409458 2015-10-08 08:55:00 Yeah NoMachine came around waaaaay back in the day, it's not gained much popularity in the last decade or so but it's _really_ good!

Being able to use it between Windows / Mac / Linux is also a real bonus :) Plus, it's pretty damn easy to get up and going with :D
