1409158 2015-09-29 21:30:00 Swapped from Vodafone ADSL to Bigpipe VDSL, with the connection being done yesterday.
Have managed to set up modem with this guide: www.bigpipe.co.nz

Everything seems to connect. DSL light is a solid green light, ACT flashes once a second approx. WAN is connected (is green, has WAN ip). Line speed is picked up.

Issue is: Windows 7 computer plugged directly into the modem cannot connect to the net. What am I forgetting/missing?
I have changed nothing on the Win7 computer yet but it reports no internet access.

I haven't even gotten around to trying to connect the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (v2) for the rest of my LAN yet...

1409159 2015-09-29 21:32:00 Can you ping the internet? Try ping www.google.com, if no reply try ping 8.8.8.8 Alex B (15479)
1409160 2015-09-30 00:16:00 IP Address on Win 7? Does the modem have DHCP enabled or do you have a static IP configured that is wrong? berryb (99)
1409161 2015-09-30 01:02:00 Right click on the Broadband icon and select "Troubleshoot Problems" it may connect or tell you what is wrong.
Have you rebooted Windows with it plugged in to the Modem?
Have you checked the properties of the Network Card in device manager?

1409162 2015-09-30 05:05:00 Got home to an email from bigpipe (I sent an email last night from phone) advising me that they have changed a few settings at their end.

Everything all running nicely with no additional input required from me :)

No additional changes needed to be made for LAN either :D
