1400886 2015-05-18 03:13:00 So Windows 10 is releasing this year and so far i have seen good reviews than what I found with Windows 8 .

I thought to put a poll on here to see how many of you have downloaded the Windows 10 iso , i have downloaded it looks good but i noticed Internet Explorer is still the same bit slow to what Chrome is when i downloaded it in Windows 10 . Since it is still in beta , finally ofcourse maybe different . I may buy it since Windows 7 Support by Microsoft will go away some day .

Let know me know if you liked it or not and are you planing to buy it when it releases here in nz .

Thanks

1400887 2015-05-18 03:31:00 Nope haven't tried any version of the preview / beta. May install it, when its RTM. Depends how much it costs. Altho, most people if they use it, will probably upgrade from Win7 or 8

Altho 8.1 is working fine for me at the mo. Haven't had any issues with it

1400888 2015-05-18 03:57:00 Haven't tried it. Will buy if proven better than W8.1, but will wait a while first. While I am a sucker for something new it has to better than what I am replacing. Richard (739)
1400889 2015-05-18 04:08:00 Haven't tried it. Will update from win7 as it's free but only if it lets me do a clean install. Otherwise might stay with 7 since I don't particularly like the 8.1 version gary67 (56)
1400890 2015-05-18 05:02:00 I tried it on my secondary computer for a couple of months and while I was mostly impressed I decided to buy windows 8 and use that for now as the PC needs to be a bit more stable and some of the updates caused me issues here and there (which is the point after all).

I like windows 8 and so far everything I've seen of windows 10 is very close to being the same. Baffles me how such minor differences in the GUI make people like 10 while hating 8. I won't be buying 10 though, no need as all my machines will qualify for the free upgrade :)

Here's something that occurs to me, with MS giving 10 away for free to 7 & 8 users the market share of 8 might plummet to almost nothing in a very short time. It'll end up being the OS almost nobody uses won't it? Even though I find 8 to be fine I'll be upgrading while I can to take advantage of the free offer and I'm one of the people who likes it!

1400891 2015-05-18 05:09:00 MS MIGHT be giving 10 away, free to all the Win10 'testers' . That info is from a tweet, so may or may not proove to be true .
So might be worth downloading to some old spare PC's .

1400892 2015-05-18 09:35:00 So I have Windows 7 Home and Windows 7 Enterprise .

Will i get upgrade free ?

Thanks

1400893 2015-05-18 09:48:00 No. You can't upgrade from Enterprise according to this (windows.microsoft.com)

Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1.

1400894 2015-05-18 09:56:00 This is the news of the 15 May www.neowin.net

Microsoft still say it will be free to current Win7/8.1 users for 1 year but no mention of XP and Pirated copies lately and no final release date

No hurry too update and will wait to get through initial glitches and crazy's

Hey True Glitches and crazy's will be there .

Thats nice for Microsoft to promote there product , they must be doing this because to patch up windows 8 makes me remember vista which was not a good OS to me . When Windows 7 came it became famous more than Vista . So after Windows 8 , it looks again Windows 10 will be a hit .

Thanks
