But... he just wasn't the same kinda quality blues as some of his contemporaries nor some who learned from him. I reckon his style had a little too much jazz influence. Better by far was Freddie King (en.wikipedia.org) if you wanted native Blues... a fair example was this typical song with one of another world's greats, performed along with Eric Clapton: www.youtube.com PS - it's a long youTube track, so just give it a short intro if you want to save bandwidth, or check a more condensed version.
