| 1400373 | 2015-05-08 21:33:00 | I am looking at getting a couple of big hard drives. I usually buy form Computer Lounge or PB tech. But I am finding that their prices much higher than in the USA. So rather than buy from the USA I looked at Pricespy and found three or four very low price suppliers. Warehosue1 Alpha City Wiseguys PC Online shop Does anyone know if these are reliable suppliers? |

A lot of these "really cheap" resellers the drives are actually parallel imported, hence cheaper. While that doesn't mean anything in quality, where it all falls flat is when there's a warranty claim it can take a long time to get a replacement OR you have to deal with the manufactures your self, they don't simply change over like other suppliers. :2cents: Had that happen last year, a persons PC, they brought a new HDD from some place, and it failed after about 7 months, the NZ supplier didn't want to know about it they referred him to the manufacture. When ever I have to do drive replacements ( very rare) I normally have my suppliers forward replace so the new ones here even before the faulty ones sent back Via a RMA, often the very next day. |

Its two Western Digital 6TB green drives that I will use as my rotating backup drives. I just bought a WD 6TB Red as my main D data drive. |

| 1400380 | 2015-05-10 03:18:00 | I bought a lot of computer parts off alphacity. Really good service, and super fast shipping. | sahilcc7 (15483) | ||
| 1400381 | 2015-05-11 02:42:00 | Also , check the retailer gives the FULL manufactures warranty, be it 1,2,3,5 years, and not just some 1 year warranty regardless. | 1101 (13337) | ||
| 1400382 | 2015-05-19 13:45:00 | I've used pc online shop since 2006. Mainly buy hard drive from them once a year and bought other products like modems and keyboard from them. They are pretty good and have good after sales service too. I would recommend them. I don't agree with the ratings given by gpforum |
