| 1408914 | 2015-09-26 04:08:00 | Has anyone a programme/whatever that will retrieve 'lost' emails please? I had the Inbox in Outlook Express open (am running XP still on this computer) and fumbled as I went to use the mouse. I think I rolled the roller forward and clicked one of the buttons as I more or less dropped the mouse. Next thing most of the emails in my inbox vanished. Normally I wouldn't be bothered but these are most of the messages of sympathy we received following a recent death in the family and are rather special to us. Appreciate your help. | katharinem (3459) | ||
| 1408915 | 2015-09-26 05:00:00 | It all depends on the settings in your Email client, in this case Outlook Express. You can set it to leave the mail on the server, or delete it after download. I am not sure what settings are available but there may be a command to download all messages, normally it will only download new files. If this is not the case go to your mailbox on line or your ISP, the files should still be there. If your Outlook was set to delete files on the server after download you have a problem :) | mzee (3324) | ||
