| 1400228 | 2015-05-07 05:19:00 | Hey guys, As you all (Should) know, Windows 10 new preview is out for phones. I have 2 questions pinging on my mind: Is it possible for an android phone to run windows? If you check out the Microsoft Lumia 640, it is literally a Moto G 2nd Version but for windows And what is the best budget (Under 300) windows phone that will run Windows 10 smoothly? Looking at a 735 or 640 possibly? Cheers guys. |

Given the paltry market penetration that Windows Phone has compared to Android phones I wouldn't be surprised if that was something that Microsoft was considering allowing. Can't answer the other questions about best value Windows Phone. |

| 1400231 | 2015-05-07 06:52:00 | I would be very surprised if any mobile OS could run on hardware other than the hardware it's sold on. (rooting excepted) | pcuser42 (130) | ||
| 1400232 | 2015-05-07 06:59:00 | I'm using the Lumia 820. Dont know how much it costs. The sis in Oz sent it over. I was surprised it worked over here. Since its an Optus phone But so far so good, it's got 8.1 on it at the mo (I think 10 will install on it later). And 4G lte. NFC, dual wireless, and BT. From what I've read, it's one of the only Lumia's that have an sd card on it as well. Had so many androids it's not funny lol. 3-4 of them were crap. I couldn't update anything. The last one was fine till the screen cracked on it lol. So for now I'm using the 820 Managed to get cortana going on it. It's not bad. I like the Here maps app on it, it shows a map of where you are |

By the time they get to the manufacturers, the new version is already out. The 820 looks good, but I would like a bigger screen (at least 4.5inches and higher resolution (720p if avaliable), and quad core. Thanks though! |

| 1400235 | 2015-05-08 02:14:00 | Get a 635 from Noel Leeming $149, locked to Vodafone but $30 to unlock it.. www.noelleeming.co.nz I have a 530 and they run well but are ..... cheap. plastic screen, small screen, no front camera. so the 635 would be light years ahead on quality. 8gb, to get 720 screen you will need to spend $300 |

| 1400236 | 2015-05-08 09:08:00 | Lumia 640, definitely. The AMOLED screen of the Lumia 735 just isn't great - the screen on the Moto E is nicer to read text with. Having said that - if you do want the Lumia 735 - I've already installed Win 10 on it - I'd be happy to sell it. |
