504680 2006-12-06 20:14:00 I have to reinstall windows on a compaq, but I can't boot to the recovery partition - pressing F10 at the bootup screen like it tells you to doesn't work (windows just boots as normal) & there isn't an option in the windows bootloader for compaq recovery.

What do I have to do to use the compaq recovery?
If I can't use the compaq recovery partition, how do I force windows to call the partition I'm installing it on C drive instead of D drive?
hcl (10925)
504681 2006-12-07 03:50:00 It might want you to press the F10 key very early in the startup process. Look for a white square (or rectangle) at the top right hand corner of the screen and hit F10 while the square is showing.
If that doesn't work, try F12 instead. ;)
