| 504646 | 2006-12-08 21:04:00 | FoxyMX, I get as far as Start > Run and then there are no more tabs. I type in msconfig and i get a message saying my pc can't find that file. Sorry, I completely forgot about that. OK, go back into HijackThis, do another scan and put ticks alongside the entries that Speedy listed then click on Fix. That is probably not going to fix your original problem, however. |

If your IT support cannot help, then the users should not be left trying to fix it. This is afterall a business network and business machines. I would ask your IT support to resolve it or ask for help from higher up if they cannot. | Jen (38) | ||

I'm inclined to go with beama"s initial suggestion about virus checking, or something similar . There are a number of different processes which can take a very long time to set themselves up (at bot time) on a network, because they are looking at all the machines on the network . "Local Security" things come to mind . |
