Today I have had a connection for about 4 hours and counting it just past 2pm now.Im getting 10-16 kb all the time at this stage. At one point my heart raced as I had 80kb download off 2 torrents. Master Frost thanks for directing me to the other P2P posting on this site. Its nice to know Im not alone. In the year 2006 this issue is crap. Its not 1806. But then again it is Telecom. I guess sometimes this is the price you pay for living 12000km out of the rest of the world. Do we have good Broadband services Vs the rest of the world? Steve |

| 504337 | 2006-12-06 03:20:00 | If you are not on contract with orcon then i suggest you move to actrix, they do not shape torrent traffic. Agreed. Since I've moved to them 2 month's ago (by suggestion on these forums) my bit torrents have been downloading like the old days with Ihug. But don't tell too many people........we don't want their network overloaded. :D |

| 504338 | 2006-12-06 08:38:00 | Oh well the buggers are back to there old tricks. Very slow tonight from about 3pm onwards. Insane ,completely insane. Think I will down grade my IP plan. For me if I cannot torrent,I will not pay them the rates they are after. Small protest I know. But it seems pointless to pay for more gig,when I cannot use it for what I want. More speed as well for that matter.. Im sure in time these twats will sought it out,maybe in about another 20 years or so. Steve |
