| 505009 | 2006-12-08 00:49:00 | hello i need a lot of help i am trying to start up an old pc and it just wont go it does the mem chek stuff then detects my hardrive as prim master then it might restart or maby a little bit more befor it restarts i have goten up to the xp loading screen and watchd the bar go across but it eventer just goes blank. i got out my xp cd shoved it in and it say push any key to bot from cd so i stab a key and then the comp just restarts. help!!!!!!!!!!!! any help would be reli apreseated. |

| 505010 | 2006-12-08 01:11:00 | Hi "help i need help". Try unplugging all the peripherals such as modems, printers, mouse and see if they are causing the trouble? Did you try booting into safe mode (Hold F8 just after the initial BIOS screen)? |

(regardless of the drivel MS says) And did you format it first? Install the chipset drivers? Peripheral drivers? Etc? |

| 505013 | 2006-12-08 01:52:00 | ok i have had the pc runing xp for a cuple years now with no probs i just got the box out of the corner. ok i have just put the herd drive into my over pc and am intaling windows again. i will c how that is i only had power, moniter and keybord ans mouse pluged in thanks for the advice so far (i reli need it lol) |
