| 506008 | 2006-12-11 22:49:00 | Does anyone have any reputable first hand evidence that a radeon 9600 graphics card or similar can successfully run on a 250w PSU powered pc for a length of time greater than a month at least!! The card does recomend 300w plus I have a second hard drive!! A new PSU is not an option!! Any ideas!! |

| 506015 | 2006-12-12 00:15:00 | I doubt anything would work properly with a 250w PSU. Not just the videocard. I have a 110W psu that works fine to power a battery charger. :lol: (Yep, it is a Dell. The CMOS button cell has gone to drive a calculator, the monitor is assisting a neighbour with his ancient laptop, and I think the case could be upgraded to a flower pot. And the previous owner thought it was useless !) |

| 506016 | 2006-12-12 00:23:00 | Well me computer is working perfect at the moment with extra memory and a second hardrive added!! the question is "how long will it last" stressed out PSU's tend to die and sometimes take out the rest of the pc with them. at your risk :badpc: |

| 506017 | 2006-12-12 00:32:00 | Fortron are a good brand. There would be plenty of mediocre 300-350W PSU that weren't any better. That said a good 350-400 isn't that expensive. | PaulD (232) | ||
