| 506609 | 2006-12-14 10:36:00 | Dear all. A friend of mine is having difficulty with accessing her Gmail account. Whenever she signs in, she sees this jumble of codes instead of "Loading..." (it never appeared): xVmo6_q^mIlLA4t< 4uhKJR }GI|sw3]YLI<ܹj_kf*7=VhXpFDE IWSe17j \'jB f,%_e|1}(dd6G@phwʫ;Ո;]ٖ =Xk2 b89[adkVQS^V%10}%$<z+ndԾO@JwIF dH^LkW9 *>/0 @ di-B =<n Changing the language in her browsers does not help at all. Googling the above codes yielded nothing. She has also tried clearing browser's history. Could this be due to the presence of malware? Cheers :) |

| 506610 | 2006-12-14 11:23:00 | That looks like the browser is trying to load a binary file as text - possibly due to incorrect headers. Does this happen in all browsers? Might also be worth taking a look at the hosts file, as I doubt the problem is with GMail. When you say "clearing browser's history" do you mean clearing the cache, or clearing the browsing history - they are two very different things. If you haven't already done it, clear the browser cache. |

I was refering to "clearing browser's history" under the "Advanced" tab of Options in Firefox. Anymore suggestions? Cheers :) |

| 506616 | 2006-12-15 07:06:00 | Gmail is working ok. Gmail is fine for me. The problem does not lie within Gmail, I am pretty sure on that; even I could access her e-mail account on my computer. ***Still thinking*** Cheers :) |

I.... strongly doubt that Gmail is Java-based. It relies on mainly HTML and Javascript in order for it to function. Thanks for the suggestion though :) |
