| 506492 | 2006-12-14 00:14:00 | ok first question,do laptops have a cpu fan? because if i wanted to get a faster intel celeron cpu for my laptop can i just buy a normal cpu retail pack from an electronics store that comes with a cpu fan? Or do laptop cpu's not have a cpu fan,and does the laptop just use the case fan? and when installing a new cpu, where on the laptop should I clip the antistatic wrist wrap alligator clip onto? I know the PC's you clip it onto the metal part of the pc case. |

Laptops "usually" use special Mobile editions of CPU's, not the regular "desktop" versions, and are seldom "upgradeable" as faster CPU's are unable to have the extra heat dissipated. As you omit any reference to the make and model of laptop, good help will be hard to find Laptop internals have lots of metal shielding for clipping the wristband to. |
