506552 2006-12-14 08:32:00 Hi guys

My son has changed some Firefix settings with the result that every day all history is wiped, all bookmarks are gone and one has to re-enter all your favourite website addies afresh. The son can't remember what he has changed. WinXp, Firefox (the latest), P31.7 ghz. Any-one able to tell me what to change to get the above back. Yes, I know it's probably very secure, but it's quite inconvenient.

Thanks all

506553 2006-12-14 08:44:00 This could be done via an extension but have a look under Preferences > Privacy > History > Settings. Jen (38)
506554 2006-12-14 08:48:00 Preferences - that under Tools?

506555 2006-12-14 08:50:00 Possibly! I know on the Linux version of Firefox it is located elsewhere.

Ok, try under Tools > Options.

Just had to quickly check with a Windows user where it is located. :)

506557 2006-12-14 08:54:00 d*mn - no Preferences under Tools (this is Firefox). Only things remotely usable there in Options?

506558 2006-12-14 09:00:00 Sorry, that is me confusing you. Linux put things slightly differently. Follow R2x1's instructions. :) Jen (38)

506560 2006-12-14 23:52:00 Tools > Options > Privacy, and untick "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox". Nermal (7077)
506561 2006-12-15 01:11:00 Shouldn't Firefix fix itself? :D ;) pcuser42 (130)
