| 506469 | 2006-12-13 22:21:00 | hi guys, I have a weird problem, overnight my computer downloaded the latest update patch (automatically) and started to install it. Now the strange thing is that it stopped at: 'Updates are being installed (5 of 6)', every few seconds changing to a screen saying: "Do not turn off or unplug your computer, it will turn off automatically". So I did not do anything, but now, 5 hours later, it is still displaying this and I do not know if I should make a forced cold boot reboot. there does not seem to be any harddisk activity, as seen from the control lights. The system is Windows XP home, updated all the time and there should be enough space ion my harrdrive, memory is 1 GB. What shall I do ? Cheers Johan |
