506461 2006-12-13 19:19:00 With WinXP, in a folder of photos, there is a FILMSTRIP option under VIEW.
But when I first add photos to a new folder the filmstrip option is not there (only the rest of the options - Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, etc.) Later, probably after a reboot, Filmstrip appears. Is there any way to force the filmstrip option to appear without having to reboot?

What happens if you click refresh on the folder in question? There is a MS knowledge article about a similar problem here (support.microsoft.com), but I don't think it applies as you do get the filmstrip view, eventually.

506463 2006-12-13 23:53:00 You can right-click on the folder in question and go to Properties then the Customize tab.
Change the folder type to pictures or photo album and that should enable the option for Filmstrip.
Even if it is already set to one of those options change it to the other one.
