507618 2006-12-18 03:10:00 I know i know, you're probably reading this thinking someone else who hasn't heeded the warnings about this company, however i have been using them for a year and have never had a problem, until now.
Last monday i ordered a DVD burner, got the e-mail confirming it was in stock. So i transfered the money. That was last Monday and i've still heard nothing back at all. I have sent a few messages via the 'customer comment' option but nothing. I've have tried ringing them all day but the number is constantly busy. It's pretty annoying as i have someone waiting for the drive and it looks like im going to have to order another one from Ascent.
Does anyone have have ideas of what i should do or alternative telephone numbers for them, im currently use 09 358 0404.

cheers

Nobody ever has a problem "until now", then it happens.

Now you know why you were warned. Fortunately you're not out of pocket by much, so just go buy a replacement from a reliable supplier and hopefully SCC will front up with the goods sometime next year and you can sell it to somebody else.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.

Cheers

507622 2006-12-18 04:45:00 I have never had a problem with SuperCheap either. Because I won't go near them if you paid me to.

There is a reason they get a bad reputation, now you have found out the hard way.

Thats why we post comments like this about them, so the next person doesn't end up in the same situation.

Listen to advice next time. Its cheaper.

I tried your number provided and it seems like Global PC or Super Cheap PC and then the line is too busy and repeat Global PC or Super Cheap PC. Like nothing else already repeating repeating .... Wonder when will someone answer the call.
:) Super Cheap is out of my list now.

507624 2006-12-18 11:15:00 Im keen to go in there sometime soon and give them hell... Happy to mention your problem while Im at it ;-)
They ripped me off $70-odd for an Internal ADSL modem that I paid for and pre-ordered, it arrived.. now they're trying to tell me Ive not paid for it.
Only thing is the guy is tellin me it wouldnt have been ordered in unless I'd pre-paid for it, its showing in the system as having arrived weeks ago and pending them to contact me... AND one of the younger guys there says he's seen it out the back with my name on it (And a receipt saying Ive paid), but the older indian fella who works there swears black n blue Ive not paid for it.

I wonder if they know they piss off so many people... bet they do but simply dont care :(

What? You too?! It amazes me that peole choose to buy things based on how cheap they are.
You get what you pay for. Its either a shoddy product or the service will be shoddy.
There are and has been so many warnings about Supercheap I don't have any sympathy for people who ignore them.

There are a lot of little shops like this. They buy in bulk so they get the cheapest buy price and the consequences are forget any kind of warranty if things go wrong. Or at least not without a huge fight.
They aren't interested in service at all - just moving stuff out the door as fast as they can, so it doesn't surprise me at all that they don't have good procedures for checking each stage of peoples orders.

And they sure don't want to waste time on complaints.

This applies to wholesalers as well as retailers by the way. Zcom for instance has the same attitude.

I know I know.. and its my own fault, not heeding the warnings etc...

Life goes on I suppose :(
