| 507315 | 2006-12-17 02:43:00 | For Email I currently use Outlook Express v6.00.2900.2180, 2004 for Gmail, and Microsoft Outlook 2000 - SP3 for Xtra and Yahoo. Frequently, I find that the following settings are changed for Gmail:- A.) The POP3 server from 'pop.gmail.com' to ' 127.0.0.1' and B.) the Incoming server port number from 995 to 110. Any thoughts as to how to stop this from occuring? Thanks. |

| 507318 | 2006-12-17 23:53:00 | Localhost (en.wikipedia.org) I don't know what Mcafee has in it, As I don't use it. Try changing McAfee's ports to Gmail's. If its using 127.0.0.1 in it somewhere. Or try disabling/quitting Mcafee's for now and see if you get Gmail email. Are you trying to access Gmail in OE and Outlook, or just OE? I would just go to the Gmail site and forward Gmail emails to your normal email. It saves u trying to add your Gmail addy to an email program. It'll come thru to your normal email addy anyway. |
