| 507113 | 2006-12-16 07:51:00 | I currently running 1.5gb of ram in readiness for vista next year. But i have an issue with some ram i bought last week. Im not to well knowledgable in this area for ram so here goes,The ram i have at the moment is normal 533mhz and currently i have Two 256mbs of ram and two 512mbs of ram giving me 1.5gb of ram but i have an issue with another 512mb of ram which is currently not in my pc. The ram is pc2 4200 the same as all the others but this ram says sd ram on it and i have been told it will still run ok however this ram causes issues when i plug it in to my pc the pc will run ok but when it goes into standby mode and you go to wake the pc with the mouse the pc turns on but nothing comes up on the screen. As soon as i remove this ram the problem is gone, is anybody able to tell me if this problem can be fixed of is the ramstick faulty. The chips of this ram are the longer rectangular ones and all my other ram is the small square ones. :badpc: |
