| 508240 | 2006-12-22 01:13:00 | Separate accounts as in you have your user account which you log in to for everyday usage in addition to the Administrator account which you only use to do administrative tasks, i.e. those functions disabled to the user/your account (permissions). With that in mind, who the hell is "oem" as in Documents and settings\oem\blah blah blah? (Hopefully a user account set up by the PC's makers). BTW, O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe O4 - Global Startup: HP Digital Imaging Monitor.lnk = C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe O4 - Global Startup: HP Image Zone Fast Start.lnk = C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqthb08.exe O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE Apart from all the toolbars and doo dads that you have running with various apps and globally; None of the startups listed above need to be running, they will unnecessarily take up resources. In particular the MS Office, Acrobat Reader and probably the HP image zone stuff are resource hogs. HTH. |
