508449 2006-12-21 23:38:00 The cable between the two speakers is about 1m, cable from the rightspeaker to my computer is 1m with some slight slack in the cable.
i have a 17" CRT between the 2 speakers.
I play games quite often, I consider myself a gamer even though alot of the time i spend on my computer involves me reading wikipedia.

How far away is the CPU from the monitor ? Surely you can run the cable along the front of the monitor (Tuck it underneath)

Can you post a photo of your set up, so we can see what the problem is.
I re-read your posts and you are saying that the right speaker just reaches
the right side of the monitor ? You could buy a extension cable from DSE
to make the cable longer from the CPU to the monitor. You may need to put the speakers along the front of the monitor L-------R it may not go on either
side.

confused.

508453 2006-12-22 02:04:00 the left speaker just reaches the right side, and the right speaker is attached to the left speaker.
the left speaker has no chance of reaching the left side.
ill clean my desk a tad and post a photo.

Why can't you swap the speakers around, seems simple to me. Also the lead
fom the CPU won't have to travel too far. It dosen't matter if the speakers are set back a bit as long as you have them apart.

508456 2006-12-22 06:36:00 sigh.......on PF1 this type of terminology shouldn't be happening

How far away is the CPU.........here is a cpu:

here is a computer:

theres IS a considerable difference....and I get a little fussy about people perpetuating incorrect terminology. The computing world largely REQUIRES EXACT terminology or else confusion reigns

508457 2006-12-22 06:41:00 if i tried to do that, the speaker would be roughly inside the monitor. Mirddes (10)
