NTFSfor DOS is what you want. |

Press a key while it's displaying that text. If you don't it boots from the hard drive. This is nothing to do with GRUB - GRUB isn't even running at the stage when that message is on screen. |

It's not totally stupid to require DOS to run such a programme. Writing the new firmware is probably timing dependent/critical, and what is needed is a programme loader which won't want to be always doing things while the programme is running. |
