508335 2006-12-20 23:49:00 Hi All..... My computer has 33 running processes, Maryann has 38. Both using XP Home. How do we bring up a list of these so that we can see what is happening? Thanks. PJ Poppa John (284)
508336 2006-12-20 23:54:00 I've got 32, with half a dozen apps open at the moment.

Ctrl+Alt+Delete then click the processes tab.

And then click on the processes tab.How does he know that he's got all those processes running if he hadn't already brought up Task Manager?

In retrospect - perhaps he's got a third-party app running which has told him.

508343 2006-12-21 00:39:00 Ok done that thanks. Damned if I know what to do with the info now I have it. The CPU Usage showed 4-15%, so I suppose my m/c is ok. PJ Poppa John (284)
508344 2006-12-21 00:43:00 I have the new record - 57! :D With Firefox and my virtual pet (Felix) showing, the rest are background processes. pcuser42 (130)
