| 509002 | 2006-12-23 21:40:00 | Haven't been here for a while :D *waves* Okay, here's the deal... I found a website with a bunch of old DOS games that I used to play when I was a kid. I downloaded one on my computer and it worked like a charm. My mom said she wanted to play them too on her computer so I downloaded one to hers. It was a different game that you had to install. I clicked the Install.exe file and the screen went blank. So I restarted and I was able to install it then. I clicked on the game and the screen went blank again. I have not been able to get it to install again. I also tried copying it from mine to hers and it did the same thing. I've tried setting the compatibility to Windows 95 and 98 but that didn't help. I didn't have to change any settings on mine for it to work. We're both running Windows XP SP2 but we have a different motherboard- mine is a little older. Any suggestions? | horsedreamer (9800) | ||

You most likely have different graphics and sound too and yours is more comaptible with the game than hers. DOSBox should help with that sort of thing too. |
